1. It describes or explains some parts of the world (how atom act).
- What if humans had taken a different path a long time ago. In the days of the Greeks and Romans, humans believed in gods. They had a different god for different parts of nature. It thundered because Zeus was angry, the earth quake last week was made by Poseidon and the harvest will only grow if you give Demeter a good temple of worship. What if humans never entered the age of enlightenment where we started to turn towards science and away from complete religion? Our “Knowledge” would probably be considerably different How did we turn toward science, how did someone “come up with science?” Who was the first to turn away from religion?
3. Knowledge is a human pursuit full of richness and complexity, and the acquisition of knowledge varies from individual to individual and culture to culture.
-Is it really only a human trait? What about animals, don't they know things, or is that classified differently. What about knowing who your predators are, or what kind of dance you need to do to get a mate, or knowing that if I role over, my human will give me a treat?
What do you think?
- Every now and then, you hear the saying Ignorance is bliss. Is it? Now a day, it is good to be considered smart (to know a lot) but does any good come out of being ignorant?

Knowing How?
This is like knowing how to kick a soccer ball
or knowing how to solve a math problem
or knowing how to send an email
knowing how to cut a bagle........
Knowing That?
Like Knowing that cells come from other cells
Knowing that if you heat up an enzyme too much, it goes through denaturation
knowing that my friend has a boyfriend..........
Knowing through direct expiriance.
I know shots hurt because I got a shot and it hurt
or I know my cat is soft, because I've pet her...........
I liked this one because she has serious beliefs. I really like the one about Humanity owing something to the world. I think these This I Believe projects are an interesting way to reflect on one’s self. It is something you can think about while you lay in bed, trying to fall asleep, It is a useful tool to help you perhaps alter a few things you had recently believed in. I think this helps you know yourself better.
One type of Human is better than another
-Adolf Hitler
The more we do to you, the less you seem to believe we are doing it.
The idea that it's ok to manipulate people, to the point where they will die for things they don't even fully understand
- Joseph Mengele
should we respect the beliefs of a racist or sexist person?
I don’t know. I think we should respect everyone’s differences, but it is very hard when you are dealing with racism or sexism. I believe that both of which is wrong, and I believe that hurting someone is worse than disrespecting someone, hence, I do not respect the views or beliefs of people who’s beliefs harm others. I think that if we respected all the beliefs of a murderer, there would be a lot more sorrow in the world (http://news.yahoo.com/video/us-15749625/jurors-to-decide-fate-of-school-shoot...>
What do you think?
Steven Eurtelt
Planned Parenthood does 135 abortions for every 1 adoption referral.
He stated a site but when you look at all the advertisement on it, it’s all like Pro-Life, Pray for the dead babies, yadda yadda, so I’m not sure if I would trust that site because it is EXTREMLY bias.
I feel like people keep stuffing abortion down our throats. The gov. should never have the power to tell women whether or not they have to have a baby. We should all respect other’s views but I think that if you are pro life, then don’t have an abortion……………it’s that simple……………..seriously people…………….stay out of others business, it's not that hard.
You can also say that this post is bias because I am pro choice, but I dont think i'm as biased as you might think, im in the middle. I don't think people should be told they can't get an abortion, but I dont think I would get an abortion if it were me.
The movie was really interesting. They did many experiments on fear, sex, memories etc. It shows different functions of the brain and what happens when something goes wrong. They examined a killers mind and determined that a psychopath’s mind is different from a normal brain. My favorite part was when they looked at the Navy Seals. It was cool to look at because my friend is thinking about going into that. It actually made me worry for him because it looks like a whole new kind of hell. It’s someone taking raping paper and rapping the feelings that make you human, a being into a little box. They turn it into a present, the kind your parents say you can only open on Christmas, the kind where your general, officer, whoever says you can only open it after the battle, you know, when you're done waving your gun around.

I saw the movie Limitless a while ago and thought it was a really interesting idea mostly because I believed it was plausible. Scientists believe that we are only using around 12% of our brains which is amazing when you think about what we have accomplished. Just think what would be possible if we could access the other 88%. This however is where morals and ethics come into the equation. What would happen if we could use the other 88%? Would people get out of control? What if only a few people could do it, will those select few become a higher class? When you think of it this way, there is no end to the amount of sci-fi horror movies you could make.
